Smart Trade Assistant

MT5Trade panel & managerUser manual

A trading panel for manual trading and trade management in MT5. The assistant brings the main trading actions into a single window — open Buy and Sell trades, calculate risk, manage a position, partially take profit, move a trade to breakeven, delete pending orders, and close positions based on predefined conditions.

01What it is

Smart Trade Assistant speeds up the core trading workflow from one panel. With it you can:

  • Open Buy and Sell trades, as well as pending orders
  • Calculate risk and position size
  • Work with the Risk/Reward (RR) ratio and trading lines
  • Partially close positions at predefined levels
  • Move trades to breakeven
  • Delete pending orders as a group
  • Close positions by direction, profit, or loss
  • Manage an individual position via the context menu

02Getting started

After launching, the Trade tab opens by default — the assistant's main screen. Here you prepare a trade: calculate position size, set the entry, Stop Loss and Take Profit, choose the order type, and enter the market. The other tabs and modes handle additional tasks — closing positions, changing settings, partial closing, trailing, and moving a trade to breakeven.

03How the panel is structured

The window consists of two parts.

Top part of the panel

Contains the elements for selecting an instrument and switching between sections:

  • The selected trading instrument
  • The main tabs: Trade, Close, Settings, Info
  • The additional accompaniment modes: In parts, Trailing, Breakeven+

07Trading lines

Graphical elements on the chart for configuring trade parameters visually — set and change the entry, Stop Loss and Take Profit directly on the chart instead of typing into the panel's fields.

Trading lines on the chart
Trading lines on the chart

They work like a slider on the chart: move a level up or down to change the matching trade parameter; the values recalculate automatically. The block can also be dragged left or right along its horizontal line — hold the left mouse button on the centre of the module and move it to a convenient spot.

Composition of the trading lines

Three main lines are shown on the chart:

Trading lines — TP, entry, SL
Trading lines detail
Three lines — Take Profit (top), entry (centre), Stop Loss (bottom)
  • Take Profit line (upper) — the profit-taking level: TP marker, distance, financial result, percentage result, level price
  • Stop Loss line (lower) — the loss-limit level: SL marker, distance, financial result, percentage result, level price

L / Lock. The L button locks the corresponding line — on the Take Profit line it locks the TP level, on the Stop Loss line it locks the SL level.

Central trading-line buttons

The central line configures the entry parameters and places an order directly on the chart — it shows the order type, volume, entry price, and control buttons:

  • R — reverse trade direction (Buy ⇄ Sell)
  • M — move the line to the current market price
  • S — activate the Stop → Limit scenario (a limit order is activated within the set range when price reaches the Buy/Sell Stop line)
  • Place — send the order with the parameters set on the lines
  • X — fully close the trading-lines panel and remove it from the chart
Central line buttons

How they work

When you move a line, the corresponding order/position level changes, the trade parameters recalculate automatically, and the entry / SL / TP position updates. Moving the entry line changes the opening type (letting you set limit or stop orders); with the line in place and M pressed, the opening price matches the market; moving the TP or SL line changes that level; and the line positions form the trade's geometry on the chart.

Two jobs

Trading lines (1) visualise entry, TP, SL and the distances between them, and (2) let you manage market and pending orders straight from the chart — especially handy for configuring entries and adjusting SL/TP. For a pending order, the entry line sets that order's activation point.

Placing an order

After setting the parameters, place the order. If configured via the trading lines, use the Place button on the central line.

If the trade is opened via the Trade tab, use the BUY or SELL buttons in the lower part of the panel.

The order-type options in the lower part let you place not only market trades but also pending orders, including Limit and Stop. The type placed is determined by the selected mode — an order can be placed both through the chart and directly from the panel.

Auto-close if

Set conditions for closing positions automatically:

  • Profit ≥ — auto-close when the set profit level is reached
  • Loss ≥ — auto-close when the set loss level is reached

Each condition has a Value and Percent field, plus the L parameter to set a single profit/loss level for all open trades of the instrument.

13Conclusion

Smart Trade Assistant provides a single interface for opening, accompanying, and closing trades, as well as for managing risk parameters and orders. All main actions are performed through the corresponding tabs — Trade, Close, Settings, In parts, Trailing and Breakeven+ — and each tab's parameters apply to the selected position, order, or group, depending on the set application scope.
